SQL in the City Streamed: June 2018

Next week, Redgate Software, will be putting on SQL in the City Streamed.

These events are a great way to learn about SQL Server, the Microsoft Data Platform, privacy and protection, the GDPR, and, of course, DevOps. All of that, with some great information on Redgate tools and how they can help tossed in there.

Agenda

Scroll down at the link and check out the agenda. We’re covering a pretty wide range of topics this time. I have the keynote, and I’m not going to tell you what it’s about yet. OK. I’ll tell you a little. Twist my arm.

I have a message about DevOps that I think is very important. When it comes to the database, we frequently think about development and deployment as nothing but change, and change, to a DBA, is bad. However, we have to stop thinking about the DevOps processes as change. I mean, it is change. We’re absolutely going to be introducing changes to the database. However, creating, maintaining, and working within a DevOps process that is implemented and supported by your business results in additional protection for your information. Think about DevOps as an added backup.

DevOps is yeah, about delivery more software, faster, to your production environment as part of a feedback loop for your customers and clients. Devops is also about providing additional protection for your systems by ensuring that issues are eliminated early in the process, not after they get to production. I want to help you enhance the protections on your production environments and I think that Redgate Software can help you do that.

There’s quite a bit more to the keynote that I’d like to share, so I hope you’ll follow the links and sign up now.

Incentive

As an added incentive, every attendee of SQL in the City Streamed will be receiving an early release copy of my brand new book on execution plans. It’s been three and a half years of work, but we’re finally, almost, done. You can get your hands on the book before anyone else as a bonus for attending our event.

So please, register for SQL in the City Streamed and let me, and the rest of the Redgate team, share with you how you can add more privacy and protection to your systems using DevOps and a few Redgate tools.
