24 Hours of Education

You absolutely need to learn more. I need to learn more (lots more). We all should be constantly learning more about our jobs, our businesses and the technology that makes it all happen. When presented with the opportunity, especially a free one, you should jump on it, with both feet.

Here you go. Beginning at 12:00 GMT on the 31st of July you can attend the 24 Hours of PASS, for free.

24 Hours of PASS has been put on several years now in various forms. This year it’s being put on as a “Summit Preview.” What you’re getting is 24 individual presentations by 24 different people on 24 different topics, all meant to whet your appetite for the PASS Summit.

I’m quite privileged to get to take part this year. I’ll be presenting a session called, Be a Successful DBA in the World of Cloud and On-Premises Data. I’m going to explain why should be learning about the functionality that Azure is going to offer you to help you support your local systems. I’m also going to explain why you shouldn’t be scared of Azure or the cloud in general and why you should be embracing it, actively. This is in support of tempting you to go to my all day pre-conference seminar at the Summit that’s titled the same as my session, Thriving as a DBA in the World of Cloud and On-Premises Data.

I’m very excited about the opportunities that Azure adds to what I already have with my local servers. Come to this 24 Hours of PASS session and, better still, register for my pre-con and you can get that passion and some knowledge for yourself.

Jump with both feet.
